Just to the west of Rolling Hills, this county currently offers what is no longer available in Marion County. Agricultural 5-10 acre parcels, surrounded by 1000+ acre farms. This gives the buyer more time, before the inevitable happens. Along with reduced land prices, the county of Levy does not have current impact fees, thus making development less costly. Levy County also offers larger pieces of land at a lower cost, about $15,000 less than Marion County listings.

Noted as "The Horse Capitol", it is home to more breeds of horses than anywhere else in the world.

Located within 2 hours of Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville and the Gulf, insurance costs are significantly lower, as that there is not a mandatory charge for wind insurance or flood. In 2005, there were no significant storms or hurricanes in either Levy or Marion Counties.
